Sexual Assault Services

 

Women's Crisis Support ~ Defensa de Mujeres offers the following services to sexual assault victims:

 24 hour Crisis Line (685-3737)
Trained sexual assault peer counselors are always available for support, information and referral.

Advocacy
Women's Crisis Support ~ Defensa de Mujeres Sexual Assault Advocates are state certified peer counselors who are trained to address issues relating to sexual assault. Advocates are available 24 hours a day to accompany survivors to the hospital, police station and/or to provide court accompaniment. Advocates work collaboratively with law enforcement, hospital staff and the District Attorney's Office to help sexual assault survivors to understand their options and to navigate the criminal justice system. Advocates also provide information and support for survivors and their families.

Counseling
Individual professional and/or peer counseling is available for sexual assault survivors. Counseling is also available for family members or significant others.

Sexual Assault Survivor Support Groups
You are not alone; break through the isolation that often accompanies sexual assault in a supportive group environment. Support groups take place annually based on demand. For more information about support groups, please call 425-4030 or contact us by email.
