Women’s Crisis Support ~ Defensa de Mujeres conducts door-to-door outreach visits in selected high-risk neighborhoods in order to provide information to families about domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and substance abuse. During these visits, our Outreach Advocate provides information, advocacy and referrals to the families. The Advocate also conducts neighborhood meetings to promote a social network within the community.

The goal is to create neighborhoods safe from violence, and to foster leadership among the neighborhood residents. Since 2000, WCS~DdM has conducted outreach activities in several neighborhoods in the Watsonville and Pajaro areas.
